    Notes The weather was cool and overcast. The most striking thing about the pan is how overgrown it was on the side with the bird hide. There was very little open water although the side closest to the blocks of flats was still clear of reeds. Although there were breeding pairs of cattle and intermediate Egrets it was significantly down on previous counts. It was interesting that there were no Egyptian Geese counted. Every other occassion that I have been to this pan there has been Egyptian Geese present.
