    Notes This count is conducted by Holger Kolberg on the Namibian side of the Orange River, from where it is easier to count than from the South Africa side, due to less riparian vegetation. This count used to be done by boat, but due to the consistently low level of water in the Orange, it has no longer been possible to do counts by boat. This particular section was counted by walking about half-way up along the dune on the north bank of the river.
