    Notes Very cold with wind. Narrow band of water hyacinth along shoreline in places. This weed has accumulated in larger 'rafts' where buoyed cables restrict passage of floating material. Mechanical removal is taking place along some stretches, particularly those frequented by fishermen. Numerous mounds of removed weed have been left to rot on the shoreline.
